Our Sustainability Policy & Responsibility to the environment

Since its creation Travel Partner has always worked to promote sustainable, responsible and authentic tourism. We believe that our ecological values and our concern to reduce unnecessary waste is fully compatible with our desire to offer services of exceptional quality. In this desire to minimize environmental damage from the tourism industry, we offer reusable water bottles on board all our vehicles. This practice allows us to avoid thousands of plastic bottles that pollute the already fragile ecosystem of a country with precarious waste management capabilities. Our company operates with a service that tries to lower the environmental impact to the minimum.

Our Sustainability Policy

Our mission is towards creating a more sustainable Tanzania while offering our clients the best experience of their lives. We have as little impact on the environment and local communities as possible and aim to be a forerunner in sustainability in Tanzania. We want to inspire others to adopt more environmentally friendly behavior.

Our principles towards a more sustainable Tanzania:

  • The tours we conduct have minimum impact on the environment and the local wildlife population. Any impact we bring to the environment is offset via Carbon Tanzania; our sustainability partner.

  • We follow the trash in trash out policy in all national parks.

  • We treat all employees with respect and give equal rights to men and women.

  • We offset all our Kilimanjaro climbs through Carbon Tanzania and proposed it for the safari to the clients

  • We are also certified by Travelife, an internationally recognized sustainability certification. We see Travelife as a natural partner in our mission and are very proud to be one of the few East African agencies to receive this certification. The organization demands superior standards for the quality and integrity of its members in their green practices.

Below are some of the organizations and agencies we have partnered and work closely with to ensure that during our safaris and mountain ascents, we observe and take to account our responsibilities to the environment, local society, and morality and fair treatment of those who work for us. All this to ensure that we are active contributors to the positive growth of SUSTAINABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY tourism in Tanzania.

Carbon Tanzania

Conserving Tanzania’s Forests

We are proud partners of Carbon Tanzania, a forest conservation agency, which aims to inspire travelers and tourism agencies in Tanzania to compensate for their carbon footprint resulted from tourism activities.

Carbon emissions from vehicles, energy, aircraft, and industry are adding to the acceleration of climate change with the world’s poor feeling the effects most acutely. Carbon Tanzania works with companies, like us, who are minimizing their impact by measuring their carbon emissions, reducing them and then offsetting the remaining unavoidable emissions.

We offset all the emissions from our Kilimanjaro climbing operations. If you would like to offset the emissions from your Safari please contact us. Offset payments flow directly to the forest communities who protect their forest. Carbon Tanzania is Tanzania’s leading supplier of forest carbon offsets that are certified by international third-party, verification organizations.

Carbon Tanzania is able to link carbon offsets with conservation through their method of generating these offsets. When threatened forests are cut down they release their stored carbon. By protecting threatened forests from deforestation the trees are able to continue to capture and store carbon, it is this stored carbon that is measured as a carbon offset. Carbon Tanzania works with indigenous communities to protect their forest and its wildlife. The communities earn an income when the offsets are sold which is used to provide community services and fund development projects as determined by the community. This translates to offset revenue building a thriving community and a healthy forest for both Tanzania and the global community.
