Flying Doctors Services Our flying doctors provide air ambulance services for medical emergencies across East Africa, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. With their own team of doctors and pilots, they can swiftly evacuate individuals from remote locations to hospitals in Nairobi, Kenya, ensuring prompt medical attention when needed most. While membership with the flying doctors is not mandatory, we highly recommend securing one for your journey to Tanzania. For areas within a 500 km radius from Nairobi (covering all Northern Tanzania National Parks, Kilimanjaro, and Kenya), the rates are as follows: $29 per person for 14 days $39 per person for 2 months For areas within a 1000 km radius from Nairobi (encompassing all of Tanzania including the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba, and Mafia, as well as Kenya), the rates are: $45 per person for 14 days $60 per person for 2 months Please note that hospital costs, medical treatments, and medications are not covered by this service. Coastal areas experience the hottest and most humid weather, while the North and highlands of Tanzania are cooler due to altitude. Temperatures range between 22°C and 31°C throughout the year, dropping to between 10°C and 22°C at night. Zanzibar's beaches have a distinctly tropical climate being close to the Equator. Tanzania has two main seasons: the wet and the dry season. The wet season (also known as the rainy season) extends from late October to December and from late March to early June, often referred to as the 'short' and 'long rains'. These tropical rains typically begin in the late afternoon and continue through the night until early morning. The rains in Africa are renowned worldwide and offer a soothing, enchanting experience during a journey with Travel Partner!
